HARTFORD, CT -- Everyday Democracy and Hartford Decide$ are presenting a free workshop on September 27 at the Hartford Public Library. Join them for a conversation about participatory budgeting, and how you can engage your community in the democratic process that enables taxpayers to work with government to make budget decisions that affect their lives.
Hartford Decide$ promotes participatory budgeting through a process in which residents brainstorm spending ideas, volunteers review the project ideas and turn them into project proposals, residents vote on proposals, and the government implements the top project. Learn about how this innovative process works.
