Wasley is a lifelong Plainville resident and owner of Plainville Funeral Home. Wasley will serve a two-year term and will act as a liaison between the Plainville community and the Foundation. Wasley also serves as a member of the Plainville Community Fund Advisory Council, an endowed fund at the Foundation.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is critical now more than ever that we know the current and emerging needs in each of our communities so that we can respond quickly and effectively,” said Susan Sadecki, President & CEO of Main Street Community Foundation, which serves the communities of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott. The Foundation has established a COVID-19 Response Fund to rapidly deploy flexible resources to organizations in all communities served affected by the pandemic.

“We are grateful for Mark, Jennifer and Andrea’s generous commitment of time, talent and local community knowledge that they will bring to the Foundation,” stated Sadecki.

The Main Street Community Foundation’s Board of Directors consists of 21 community leaders charged with ensuring donors’ intentions are fulfilled in perpetuity while meeting the needs of the local communities.

The Main Street Community Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for both present and future generations in the communities served by encouraging and promoting gift planning, prudent stewardship of assets, effective grantmaking and community leadership. A nonprofit public charity, created by private citizens, the foundation works with donors in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott who wish to build permanent charitable endowments to support their communities.
