NORWALK, CT -- On Monday, the City of Norwalk announced the Connectivity Initiative to try and help the 7-8 percent of children who did not have high-quality, reliable internet service. Dalio Education is the lead supporter of the initiative, providing $315,000 to Norwalk Public Schools which will contract with Altice/Optimum to provide high-speed internet to the 1,000 Norwalk families. This will be supplemented with a $50,000 grant from the Be Foundation. The Per and Astrid Heidenreich Family Foundation and The Ritter Family Foundation have each provided grants of $125,000 to support the Community Services Department and the Family Navigators.

NEW HAVEN, CT -- In April of 2020, as part of our institutional response to COVID19, The Perrin Family Foundation launched a youth communication project intended to capture how young people were experiencing the global crisis. Over the next few weeks the Foundation will be sharing the youth experiences and connecting the stories to larger themes and issues.

NORWALK, CT -- Underscoring their commitment to collaboratively support public agencies and non-profit organizations striving to close education, workforce and other opportunity gaps in Connecticut, the founding members of the Collective Impact Opportunity Fund today announced the initial distribution of grants from the Fund — bestowing $1,032,000 to 10 organizations serving the region.

NORWALK, CT - Stepping Stones Museum, Children’s Learning Centers of Connecticut (CLC), Filling in the Blanks, and Wholesome Wave are proud to announce their new collaboration titled Fueling Families. This five-week pilot program provides food, nutrition education and literacy support services for preschoolers in need in Stamford and Norwalk. Support for the pilot program came from: Ritter Family Foundation, Aiello Charitable Foundation, Ernest and Joan Trefz Foundation, Grace J. Fippinger Foundation, Rita and Leo Greenland Foundation, George A. and Grace L. Long Foundation, FactSet, Fairfield County Bank, First County Bank Foundation, Nestle Waters, People’s United Community Foundation, General Re, Palmer’s Darien, Bigelow Tea, and Bob’s Discount Furniture.
