Cox Charities Northeast, a charitable giving initiative of Cox Communications, is currently accepting applications for its 2018 Cox Charities Community Grant program for summer enrichment and after-school programming focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning. BRIDGEPORT, CT -- The Beardsley Zoo’s Conservation Discovery Corps will continue its programming for teens thanks to a $10,000 grant from People’s United Community Foundation. The grant will support the zoo’s program designed for high school students to work alongside field biologists and study the role of zoos in conservation and education.
NEW GLOUCESTER, ME -- The Avangrid Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for master’s studies in energy and/or the environment at Binghamton University, Cornell University, the University of Connecticut, Oregon State University, the Rochester Institute of Technology, the University of Maine, and the University of Rochester in the United States; ICAI School of Engineering in Spain; and the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom for the 2017/2018 academic year. The Scholarship application deadline is 8 a.m. (EST) February 17, 2017.
