Liberty Bank Foundation, Community Foundation of Middlesex County Mark 20 Years

MIDDLETOWN, CT -- This year marks the 20th anniversary of both the Liberty Bank Foundation and the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, and Middlesex United Way recounts their accomplishments and highlights some of their successful collaborations, including the Middlesex County Coalition on Housing and Homelessness, and the Middletown Thanksgiving Community Project.

Celebrating 10 Years of Service

BOSTON, MA -- Armed with paint brushes, rakes, gloves and basketballs, 150 Harvard Pilgrim, City Year and Boston Celtics' volunteers joined for a day of service to create clean, safe and healthy environments at Boston’s Joseph Lee K-8 school.

Newman’s Own Celebrates 35 Years of Giving

WESTPORT, CT – It was on August 25, 1982, that Newman’s Own shipped its first bottles of salad dressing. The late actor and philanthropist, Paul Newman, launched the company with his homemade recipe salad dressing, declaring that all profits would go to charity. Now, 35 years later, the company has more than 300 products with 100% of the profits continuing to help charities around the world.

Newman’s Own Foundation Welcomes Incoming Class of Fellows

WESTPORT, CT -- Newman’s Own Foundation announced the third year of its Fellowship Program, as a new class of 17 Fellows is welcomed into the program. The new Fellows come from a wide swath of geography, from Alaska to New Zealand, and they will work at organizations covering six states and Washington, DC.
