Event motivates young people to pursue education and career opportunities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
EVENT: Thirty-nine high school teams prepare to enter DEEP SPACE in the 2019 FIRST® Robotics New England District Competition taking place at Hartford Public High School April 6-7. The event is free and open to the public.
HARTFORD, CT -- United Technologies Corporation (UTC) is once again the Presenting Sponsor of FIRSTNew England Hartford Event and the New England District Championship. This is UTC’s 24th season sponsoring FIRST providing support and mentors to hundreds of teams across in the United States and across the world.
The Hartford competition is one of 12 events taking place throughout New England during March and April. Teams compete at these events to earn ranking points by winning on the field and through technical and non-technical awards. The top 64 teams will be invited to compete at the New England District Championship April 11-13 at WPI in Worcester, MA. From there, 37 teams will represent New England at the FIRST World Championship in Detroit, April 24-27.
