NEW BRITAIN, CT -- The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain has awarded $176,400 in scholarships to 61 students from Berlin, New Britain, Plainville, Southington and other communities through a variety of managed scholarship funds established by individual donors.

WATERBURY, CT -- College will be more affordable for 420 students in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills thanks to scholarships awarded by Connecticut Community Foundation for the 2018-19 academic year. WATERBURY, CT -- Applications are now open for students residing in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills to apply for college scholarships from Connecticut Community Foundation for the 2018-19 academic year. First-time applications to the Foundation are due by March 15. Applications for renewals of previously-awarded scholarships are due by February 15.

NORWALK, CT -- Singer/songwriter John Mayer has established the Richard Mayer Scholarship Fund at Fairfield County's Community Foundation in honor of his father, Richard, who turned 90 last week. The four-year scholarship will provide funds to a student pursuing the field of education.
GREENWICH, CT -- This week the Fairfield County native and singer-songwriter told his father, Richard Mayer, that his more than four decades as a Bridgeport educator would not soon be forgotten. To celebrate his father’s 90th birthday, which was a few days before John Mayer turns 40 on Monday, the songwriter set up a college scholarship fund through Fairfield County’s Community Foundation to commemorate his dad’s legacy.
