HARTFORD, CT -- The philanthropic arm of Hartford health insurer Aetna on Thursday announced it will donate $500,000 to the Boys & Girls Club (BGHH) of Hartford to promote healthy living. Funding from the Aetna Foundation, an independent charitable affiliate of Rhode Island-based CVS Health Corp., will be awarded to BGHH over the next five years to ramp-up programs aimed at preventing underage substance abuse of alcohol, tobacco and vaping products and improving the overall health of youth.

To Combat Teen Driving Deaths, Video Contest Theme is “Could This Be You?”
HARTFORD, CT -- In an ongoing effort to reduce the number of motor vehicle crashes among 16-to 19-year-olds and better alert teens and their parents of the dangers, the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles and Travelers are once again launching their annual Teen Safe Driving Video contest for high school students. Entries are due by December 15, 2017. Travelers will award up to $26,000 in cash prizes to the winning students and their high schools.
