Community Foundation Grant Unifies Team

BRISTOL, CT -- The Bristol Technical Education Center’s (TEC) SkillsUSA Team will now have official red SkillsUSA blazers and a SkillsUSA banner with the school’s logo on it, unifying the team and building the students’ confidence. The blazers and the banner were purchased with a $1,520 grant from the Technical Education Fund at Main Street Community Foundation.

Torrington Public Schools receive $15,000 Draper Foundation Fund grant

TORRINGTON, CT -- The Torrington Public Schools in partnership with Wellspring and The Arch Bridge School received a $15,000 from the Draper Foundation Fund administered through the Community Foundation of Northwest Connecticut to help provide much needed behavioral health supports for students in preschool and kindergarten classes in the Torrington School District.

Lending a Hand: College Students Help Pre-Schoolers Learn Thanks to Foundation Partnership

NEW BRITIAN, CT – Thanks to a collaboration of four local philanthropic organizations, low-income preschool children at HRA of New Britain’s Head Start programs are getting a better chance to enter kindergarten ready to succeed. That’s because they are now taking part in the Jumpstart early literacy program, funded by $42,500 in grants from Liberty Bank Foundation, the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, the Farmington Bank Community Foundation, and The Fund for Greater Hartford.
