WATERBURY, CT -- A COVID-19 Response Fund, established by the Connecticut Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Waterbury less than a month ago, is responding to people’s needs. Each non-profit organization added $50,000 to start the fund, so that local organizations could submit and receive grants in a timeframe that is condensed to days instead of weeks or even months.

Valley Community Fund taking donations, grant applications
DERBY, CT -- Four Valley organizations have joined forces to create a fund to aid nonprofit groups most adversely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The Valley Community COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund, established through the collaborative efforts of the Valley Community Foundation, Valley United Way, Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Valley Health and Human Service Council, has already collected more than $150,000 with plans to provide grants to eligible Valley organizations.
