HARTFORD, CT -- In April, the City of Hartford, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, HEDCO, Inc., and Capital For Change launched a $1 million Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program. The aim is to provide at least 100 small Hartford businesses with a grant of up to $10,000 to make lease or mortgage payments, pay salaries, make vendor payments, pay taxes, or make modifications to their physical space or technology to comply with social distancing guidelines. In an effort to support additional Hartford small businesses, Bank of America and Travelers have each made grants of $125,000 and the City of Hartford has allocated an additional $125,000 to the initiative.

NORWALK, CT -- The Child & Family Guidance Center, (CFGC), has actively put in place swift and dramatic measures to ensure the safety of their workforce and community while continuing essential services to the neediest families. Key to making this possible has been a generous $25,000 grant from The Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, and a $10,000 grant from Near & Far Aid to provide telehealth services, deep cleaning and hygiene services as well as general support for the continuation of services during the COVID-19 crisis.

HARTFORD, CT -- Today the City of Hartford conducted two significant distributions of PPE. The first distribution today is in partnership with the State of Connecticut and CBIA-CONNSTEP, which will provide more than 3,500 recently donated surgical masks to more than 100 essential businesses in Hartford that registered online.
