HARTFORD, CT -- This month, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving approved three grants totaling $30,000 to three local agencies: Capitol Region Education Council ($10,000), Catholic Charities ($10,000), and The Salvation Army of Southern New England ($10,000). State Workers In New Britain Aid Hurricane Relief Fund
NEW BRITAIN, CT -- Workers at Charter Oak State College and the Connecticut Distance Learning Consortium have donated $1,500 to help the Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico Relief Fund. After the hurricane, the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain joined with the American Savings Foundation and the Human Resources Agency of New Britain to create the Hurricane Maria Fund.
