HARTFORD, CT — The Connecticut Council for Philanthropy is pleased to announce the addition of Alexis Bivens as vice president of strategic initiatives and as managing director of the Supporting Organizing Work Funders Collaborative (SOW-CT), a project supported by the Council.
The Council is hosting a special series of workshops focused on “Aligning Practices with Values.” Many funders have made commitments to equity, and we are providing programs and resources to support moving to impactful action. This workshop will help you understand core Equity concepts, definitions, and context of usage so that communicators are prepared to reference the concepts in your work across your organization.

The Council is hosting a special summit on collaboration required among private, public, and nonprofit sectors to help mitigate the effects of critical issues on the state of Connecticut. This event is co-convened by the Office of Governor Ned Lamont, the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
CCP, in partnership with the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, is holding an event to discuss how municipal leaders can partner with philanthropy and nonprofit organizations to make more efficient and effective use of scarce resources, including local ARPA funding.
