WEST HARTFORD, CT -- Five local nonprofits will receive grants this month to support social justice, help people impacted by COVID-19, and provide assistance to domestic violence survivors from two giving circles at the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford: JewGood Hartford for young professionals, and the Lillian Fund for women.
Hartford Public Library Receives Cigna Funding For New Mental Health Wellness Art Series
HARTFORD, CT -- Hartford Public Library has received $14,810 in funding from Cigna to pilot a new program called ARTLink, a series of community art workshops dedicated to increasing awareness around mental health through the arts.
Chamber Hosts Another Successful Youth Work Program
MIDDLETOWN, CT -- Middlesex Chamber of Commerce wraped up another successful installment of the Middletown Summer Youth Employment Program. They placed youngsters into subsidized employment in a wide variety of professional fields for six weeks in the summer months, working 20 hours per week. The 2020 team of funding partners included: Workforce Alliance, the City of Middletown, Peach Pit Foundation, Liberty Bank Foundation, the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, Jarvis Products Corporation, Stone Investment Properties, and Middlesex United Way.
