Aetna Foundation Pledges $500K to Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford
HARTFORD, CT -- The philanthropic arm of Hartford health insurer Aetna on Thursday announced it will donate $500,000 to the Boys & Girls Club (BGHH) of Hartford to promote healthy living. Funding from the Aetna Foundation, an independent charitable affiliate of Rhode Island-based CVS Health Corp., will be awarded to BGHH over the next five years to ramp-up programs aimed at preventing underage substance abuse of alcohol, tobacco and vaping products and improving the overall health of youth.

PFF developed this multi-year grant making and capacity building opportunity with the intention of sharing a framework that introduces a new lens for youth development programs, focused on centering identity, lived experience, and political education as a core competency.
